Chhattisgarh has extended the Chief Minister’s Electricity Bill Payment Settlement Scheme-2026 until December 31, 2026. More than 65,000 consumers in the Rajnandgaon region have received relief worth ₹19.46 crore.

G.R. Markam has assumed charge as the new Commissioner of the Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation. A 2014-batch Chhattisgarh State Administrative Service officer, he previously served as Additional Collector of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki and has earlier held the posts of Tehsildar in Rajnandgaon and SDM in Dongargarh.

NABARD organized a one-day awareness conference in Mohla where bank branch managers and field officers discussed key rural development initiatives, financial inclusion strategies, and collaborative efforts to strengthen government-sponsored schemes.

Under the Chief Minister’s Power Infrastructure Development Scheme, a new 3.15 MVA transformer has been energized at the 33/11 KV Manpur Substation, increasing its total capacity to 6.30 MVA. This upgrade will benefit over 4,050 electricity consumers across 32 villages, ensuring uninterrupted and high-quality power supply in the tribal-dominated region of Manpur.
