Jitendra Yadav Orders Continued Action Against Encroachments, Error-Free Girdawari and Faster Implementation of Key Government Schemes

Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav on Tuesday reviewed the progress of departmental works and government schemes during the weekly time-limit meeting held at the Collectorate conference hall.
The Collector reviewed the implementation of the e-Office system across departments, including the status of department-wise e-files, pending matters and their disposal. Expressing displeasure over pending e-files in several departments, he directed officials to ensure that files received through e-Office are examined and disposed of within the prescribed time limit.
Yadav said the objective of e-Office is to promote transparency, accountability and faster execution of government work. He directed all department heads to regularly review pending e-files and dispose of them on priority.
Officials were also instructed to coordinate with the concerned authorities to resolve any technical or procedural difficulties related to e-Office so that government work does not face unnecessary delays.
Night-Time Monitoring of Cattle Ordered to Strengthen Road Safety
The Collector reviewed arrangements for monitoring cattle in urban areas and directed officials to identify cattle owners and take strict action against those allowing animals to roam on roads.
The Municipal Corporation was instructed to inspect lighting arrangements in areas frequented by cattle and immediately repair non-functional lights. The Collector also directed officials to deploy personnel for continuous night-time monitoring to prevent road accidents caused by stray cattle.
Taking serious note of complaints that cattle are being brought from other areas and released in the city, Yadav directed authorities to install barricades at night and inspect special vehicles to check the movement of cattle.
Revenue Cases to Be Resolved Within Time Limit
The Collector instructed revenue officials to accelerate the disposal of revenue cases and give priority to pending matters. He directed regular review of cases to ensure timely and quality disposal.
He said there should be no unnecessary delay in revenue matters involving the general public and eligible parties should receive relief within the stipulated time.
Yadav also ordered continued action against illegal encroachments on government land, directing officials to take strict action as per rules wherever encroachments are found.
61% Girdawari Work Completed
The Collector directed officials to regularly monitor the Girdawari process and ensure that surveyors complete the work accurately and with the required quality.
Officials informed the meeting that 61% of the Girdawari work in the district has been completed so far. Yadav instructed officials to complete the remaining work at the earliest.
He also directed officials to resolve cases of farmers who have so far been left out and expedite the AgriStack bucket claim process so that eligible farmers can receive the benefits of government schemes.
PM Surya Ghar Scheme to Be Accelerated
Reviewing the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, the Collector directed officials to complete scrutiny of applications quickly and accelerate solar panel installation at the homes of eligible beneficiaries.
He instructed authorities to regularly organise Surya Ghar meetings in wards and gram panchayats and conduct extensive awareness campaigns about the scheme.
Banks were also directed to simplify the bank-processing procedure and ensure timely disposal of applications so that beneficiaries can complete the loan process without delay.
The Collector said 5,686 beneficiary households in the district have so far received solar panel installations.
He highlighted that beneficiaries are not only becoming energy producers but can also gain economic benefits through additional electricity generation. Officials were directed to accelerate implementation to bring more eligible beneficiaries under the scheme.
Road Repairs Prioritised Ahead of Ganesh and Durga Puja
The Collector directed officials to complete repair work on several rural and urban roads at the earliest.
The roads specifically reviewed included the Devada-Tedesa road, Kopedihi-Magarlota road, Sundara road, Bhanpuri-Bakal road, Ira-KhuterI road, Somni-Kakrel-Thekwa road, and the road near the school in Tedesa.
He also ordered patchwork and repairs on other damaged and pothole-ridden roads to improve connectivity for villagers.
In view of the upcoming Ganesh Puja and Durga Puja, the Collector directed that patchwork on roads in urban areas be carried out on priority.
Farmers to Be Encouraged to Take Up Palm Oil Cultivation
The Collector reviewed the progress of palm oil cultivation in the district.
Officials informed him that palm oil is currently being cultivated across 42 hectares, while preparations for cultivation are underway on another 24 hectares.
Yadav directed officials to encourage more farmers to adopt palm oil cultivation and expand the area under the crop.
Strict Action Against Sale of Expired Medicines
The Collector directed authorities to conduct regular raids and inspections at medical stores across the district.
He made it clear that expired medicines must not be sold at any medical store and instructed the concerned officials to conduct regular inspections and take action according to rules against violations.
Mid-Day Meal Quality to Be Closely Monitored
Yadav also reviewed the quality of mid-day meals served to school students.
Officials were instructed to regularly inspect food quality, hygiene and compliance with prescribed standards to ensure that children receive nutritious and good-quality meals.
Safety Measures Ordered for Dilapidated Water Tank in Singhola
The Collector reviewed the proposed demolition of a dilapidated water tank in Singhola village, which has become a safety concern.
He directed officials to inform villagers in advance before dismantling the structure and ensure all necessary safety arrangements.
The concerned officials were instructed to complete the work at the earliest to eliminate the possibility of an accident caused by the unsafe structure.

CEO Zila Panchayat Durga Prasad Adhikari reviewed department-wise applications received through CM Jandarshan, CM Helpline, PG Portal and Collector Jandarshan.
He directed all department heads to ensure that applications received through these platforms are resolved within the prescribed time limit.
Additional Collector C.L. Markandey, Municipal Commissioner G.R. Markam and other district-level officers were present during the meeting.
