He said official work should be categorized into three levels—highly important, important, and routine—and files should be handled according to their priority to facilitate timely disposal.
The Commissioner also directed staff to maintain official files properly, ensuring that the concerned clerk, officer, and department are clearly mentioned on the note sheet, which would help streamline the file disposal process.
Highlighting the government’s digital governance initiative, Markam instructed all departments to carry out their official work through the e-Office system in accordance with government guidelines. He said no negligence in implementing the system would be tolerated.
He further noted that the Municipal Corporation is a public-facing institution directly connected with citizens and responsible for delivering essential civic services and addressing day-to-day public needs. Given this responsibility, he said, every employee must understand the importance of the institution and perform their duties with commitment.
The meeting was attended by In-charge Office Superintendent Narayan Yadav and employees from all departments of the Municipal Corporation.
