“A Hate Shop Will Not Survive in India by Staging Protests at Jantar Mantar”

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District President Komal Singh Rajput expressed surprise over the conduct of Rahul Gandhi at Jantar Mantar and said that such indecorous behaviour was unbecoming of the Leader of the Opposition.
Rajput said, “This is not Nepal or Bangladesh; this is India. Rahul Gandhi does not understand the temperament of India because he spends more of his life abroad than in India.”
He said that the people of the country were fully aware of those he described as “traitors” and alleged that protests at Jantar Mantar had earlier been used to capture Delhi politically, after which, once power was attained, Arvind Kejriwal had worked to loot the country.
Rajput said that protest and anarchy were two different things in a democracy. When protest crosses the limits of dignity and restraint, it takes the form of anarchy.
He alleged that the manner in which Rahul Gandhi and his team attempted to create disorder by going to the Prime Minister’s residence sent a clear message that they were increasingly becoming proponents of anarchist politics rather than practising the politics of democratic protest.

“Their hate shop will no longer run in India because the people of the country have understood them,” Rajput said.
He further alleged that certain “movement-driven” individuals were spending their time pursuing politics of protest with the aim of destabilising the country. He accused such individuals of attaching themselves to movements to serve their own interests and named Yogendra Yadav, Aniruddha Rai, Rakesh Tikait, Gurnam Singh, Prashant Bhushan and three organisations of left-wing students in this context.
Rajput alleged that such individuals continuously conspired to destabilise the country.
He said that the conditions Rahul Gandhi had placed for discussions on the issues raised by him had also been accepted. However, he alleged that the Leader of the Opposition subsequently backed away from the very issues he had raised himself.
“This clearly reflects his immaturity,” Rajput said.
He further said that the people of the country would give a strong response to Rahul Gandhi’s conduct in the coming elections and claimed that the Congress would become impossible to find.
