Collector Holds Meeting with Petrol–Diesel Pump Operators

The District Collector of Rajnandgaon, Jitendra Yadav, chaired an important meeting with petrol and diesel pump operators at the Collectorate conference hall to review fuel supply management and ensure strict adherence to government regulations.
During the meeting, the Collector directed all pump operators to conduct the sale of petrol and diesel strictly as per prescribed norms. He clearly instructed that retail fuel outlets must not supply petrol or diesel for industrial purposes in violation of existing rules.

No Fuel Shortage in the District
The Collector reassured operators that there is no fuel crisis in the district and that the supply of petrol and diesel remains continuous and stable. He emphasized that creating an artificial shortage through hoarding would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
“All operators must ensure transparent and regulated fuel distribution. Hoarding of petrol or diesel should not occur,” he stated while sensitizing stakeholders about their responsibilities.
Monitoring of Supply and Pricing
Officials were instructed to maintain proper coordination between fuel supply and consumer demand. The Collector also directed operators to share pricing and supply-related information regularly with the Food Department to ensure transparency.
He further stressed the importance of fuel conservation and urged stakeholders to promote responsible usage of petrol and diesel among consumers.

Warning of Strict Action
The district administration announced that continuous monitoring of fuel distribution would be carried out. Any operator found violating norms or engaging in irregular practices would face strict administrative action.
The meeting was attended by Joint Collector Sheetal Bansal, Food Officer Ravindra Soni, along with other departmental officials and petrol–diesel pump operators of the district.
