Rajnandgaon News: Collector Listens to Citizens’ Grievances at Weekly Public Hearing

Officials directed to ensure prompt and priority-based resolution of applications received during Jansunwai

District Collector Jitendra Yadav on Tuesday heard grievances and problems of citizens who arrived from various parts of the district during the weekly Jandarshan (public hearing) held at the Collectorate.

The Collector instructed all departmental officers present to ensure that every application received during the public hearing is resolved promptly, on priority, and in accordance with prescribed rules and procedures.

Focus on Timely and Transparent Redressal

Addressing officials, the Collector stated that citizens approach the public hearing with great expectations, and therefore their complaints must be addressed in a time-bound and transparent manner. He emphasized that effective grievance redressal is essential to strengthen public trust in governance.

He further directed concerned departments to take immediate action to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of various government welfare schemes without delay.


Wide Range of Public Issues Raised

During the Jandarshan programme, several applications related to public concerns were received. These included matters such as removal of encroachments, land demarcation, mutation cases, Nazul-related issues, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, correction of revenue records, and claims under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, along with applications connected to other government schemes.

The Collector personally reviewed each application and instructed respective departments to expedite the resolution process.

Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat, Suruchi Singh, Additional Collector C.L. Markandey, Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma, and SDM Dongargarh M. Bhargava were present on the occasion along with other departmental officials.
