Rajnandgaon, March 28, 2025 – The CRC Thakurtola Rajnandgaon recently organized a two-day regional parents’ meeting focused on the skill development, rehabilitation, and empowerment of persons with disabilities (PwDs). The event was conducted under the joint aegis of NIEPID, Secunderabad, and the National Trust, New Delhi. Over 140 parents from Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh participated in the meeting.

Raising Awareness on Disability Rights and Government Initiatives

The event’s chief guest, social worker Komal Singh Rajput, highlighted the importance of such meetings in increasing awareness about PwDs in society. He emphasized the various government welfare schemes designed to support persons with disabilities and their families.

The meeting also featured cultural performances by CRC students, including the national anthem in sign language and engaging dance and musical performances by children with special needs. In addition, assistive devices were distributed to those in need as part of the initiative.
