AYUSH Wing Operational at District Hospital, Rajnandgaon

Accessible and quality healthcare services being provided through Ayurveda-based treatments and national programmes

As per the directives of the AYUSH Department, an AYUSH Wing is being actively operated at the District Hospital in Rajnandgaon, providing citizens with accessible and quality healthcare services through traditional medical systems. Various programmes and health activities are being conducted to ensure wider public benefit and holistic treatment.

District AYUSH Officer Dr. Shilpa Mishra informed that the AYUSH Wing is offering Panchakarma therapy with modern facilities for the treatment of ailments related to Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Along with this, OPD services are being provided, where patients receive medical consultation and necessary medicines as required.

Special attention is being given to children with special needs. A monthly health camp is regularly organised at the Aastha School for the Deaf and Mute, where children undergo physical health examinations. Ayurvedic consultation and medicines are provided to help enhance immunity and overall health.

Under various national health programmes, Ayurvedic care is being extended through initiatives such as Supraja for healthy progeny and maternal health protection, Karunya for pain management and improvement of quality of life for patients suffering from severe and incurable diseases, and NCD programmes for screening and treatment of hypertension and diabetes. Additionally, elderly citizens are being provided special Panchakarma and medicinal therapies for joint pain and muscular disorders related to ageing.

Through these initiatives, a large number of citizens are benefiting every month. Regular reviews are also being conducted to ensure continuity, effectiveness and quality of healthcare services delivered by the AYUSH Wing.
