Municipal Commissioner Deploys Technical Teams for Uninterrupted Summer Water Supply in Rajnandgaon

Rajnandgaon (BTI)– With the onset of summer and rising demand for potable water, Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma has taken proactive steps to ensure seamless water supply across the city. In anticipation of seasonal water-related challenges, the commissioner has assigned a dedicated team of technical officers and support staff from the Water Supply Department to oversee smooth operations throughout the summer months.

As per the orders, Assistant Engineer Mrs. Garima Verma (Contact: 8319731636) has been appointed as the nodal officer responsible for monitoring and managing water supply systems citywide. She will be assisted by Sub-Engineers Mr. Anup Pandey (Contact: 7470547099) and Mr. Ashok Devangan (Contact: 8357992380), who will act as joint in-charges to address field-level issues and coordinate timely maintenance works.

In addition, technical staff including Fitter Mr. Temanlal Thakur (Contact: 9131530588) and Senior Fitter Mr. Somnath Yadav (Contact: 7693047155) along with other personnel have been deployed to support the engineers in ensuring swift repair and restoration works wherever necessary.

Commissioner Vishwakarma emphasized that all ward-level sub-engineers have been instructed to maintain constant vigilance in their respective areas. They are required to promptly report any issues such as pipeline leakages, contaminated water supply, reduced water pressure, or malfunctioning taps to the assigned officers and fitters for immediate resolution. “The focus is to maintain a clean and continuous water supply and ensure that citizens do not face hardships due to the rising temperatures,” the commissioner stated.

Furthermore, instructions have been issued to actively monitor and maintain all alternative water sources within the municipal limits. This includes regular inspection of hand pumps, wells, tube wells, and overhead storage tanks (CITEX tanks) to ensure supplementary water supply remains reliable and uncontaminated.

In case of complaints related to water shortages in any ward, sub-engineers are expected to liaise directly with fitters and take corrective measures on a priority basis. The administration aims to minimize response times and provide immediate relief to affected areas to prevent any disruption in potable water delivery during the peak summer period.

Commissioner Vishwakarma assured that the municipal corporation is fully committed to safeguarding public health and convenience during the summer season. By mobilizing technical staff and implementing a responsive monitoring system, the corporation is working towards securing uninterrupted, clean water supply to all households.

This strategic deployment of manpower underscores the administration’s readiness to tackle the summer water demand surge and reflects its focus on civic welfare and operational efficiency.
