In accordance with government directives, Employment and Housing Day is being organised on the 7th of every month in gram panchayats to create awareness among rural communities about employment, housing, and livelihood-related welfare schemes. Under this initiative, a large-scale and successful organisation of Employment and Housing Day was carried out today across all gram panchayats of Rajnandgaon Janpad Panchayat.

As part of the programme, activities were organised under MGNREGA, including the Rice Festival and Employment Day, along with Housing Day. Under the Viksit Bharat Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) for the year 2025–26, villagers were provided detailed information about Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin during the Housing Day.

To ensure easy access to information, villagers were provided details of various government schemes through QR codes, enabling them to obtain information in a simple and transparent manner. Lists of beneficiaries with sanctioned, under-construction, and completed houses were read out publicly to maintain transparency. Detailed beneficiary-wise discussions were also held regarding 90 days of unskilled employment under MGNREGA.
