A Week of Rare Spiritual Discourse in Sanskardhani

RAJNANDGAON (BTI) – At the Gandhi Auditorium in Sanskardhani, during the rare spiritual discourse organized by Swami Vijayanand Giri, a heartfelt honor was bestowed upon senior poet, writer, and journalist Atmaram Kosha “Amatya.” The event’s chief guest, Chhattisgarh Government’s Cow Service Commission Chairman Vishweshwar Singh Patel, presented the honor with great reverence.

The week-long discourse, led by Swami Vijayanand Giri Maharaj, flowed with wisdom encompassing spirituality and worldly knowledge. A large number of devoted listeners attended the event at the Gandhi Auditorium. Kosha Ji’s detailed and insightful reporting on the enriching and spiritually uplifting discourse earned him this recognition.

At the conclusion of this rare spiritual gathering, Shri Patel, a resident of Lohara village in Kabirdham district and Chairman of the Cow Service Commission, honored Kosha Ji with a ceremonial sandalwood tilak, a captivating image of Lord Krishna, and a certificate of appreciation. Notably, Shri Patel is well-acquainted with Kosha Ji’s literary works, particularly his Chhattisgarhi poem on the Mahakumbh and his profound article on the Shivnath River, describing it as a sacred stream that washed the feet of Lord Ram at Shivanarayan. Deeply impressed by these writings, Shri Kosha was specially invited to the event for this distinguished honor.

Swami Vijayanand Giri: A Selfless and Detached Saint
Speaking at the occasion, Shri Patel highlighted the unique spiritual path of Swami Vijayanand Giri, a disciple of Swami Ramsukhram Das from Gita Press Gorakhpur. Describing him as entirely selfless and detached, Shri Patel mentioned that Swami Giri neither accepts monetary donations nor allows financial offerings during worship rituals at his discourses. Even while seated on the Vyasa throne, he refrains from accepting garlands or flowers from devotees. Shri Patel noted, “Only a truly detached individual, free from desires for position or wealth, can guide others on the right path. Listening to such saints is a rare and soul-stirring experience.”

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Swami Vijayanand Giri, Brijmohan Upadhyay of Govardhan Foundation Ayodhya Dham, Shivaji Singh, S.R. Lodhi, Vijay Pandey, Isal Lodhi, Sukhchain Chandravanshi, Muniram Chandravanshi, Himanshu Rajput, Ram Kuber Ji, Omprakash Agnihotri of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Nandu Sahu, writer Kuber Sahu, Girish Thakkar, Sanjay Sahu of Yoga Vedanta Seva, and Anand Srivastava. A large gathering of spiritual enthusiasts also attended the event to listen to the rare and enlightening discourse.
