District Education Officer cites gross negligence, indiscipline, and misconduct under Chhattisgarh Civil Services Rules

District Education Officer Mr. Pravas Singh Baghel has suspended three head teachers and one assistant teacher across different government primary schools in the district, citing serious negligence of duty, misconduct, and indiscipline. The suspensions were enforced under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services Rules with immediate effect.
In Dongargarh block, Assistant Teacher Vishwanath Chandravanshi of Government Primary School, Khursiparkhurd, was suspended for attending school under the influence of alcohol, dereliction of duty, and gross indiscipline.
In Chhu ria block, Head Teacher Mrs. Gangaram Netam of Government Primary School, Matekheda, faced suspension for lack of interest in teaching, failing to impart education to students, and negligence of academic responsibilities.

Similarly, Head Teacher Arun Kumar Mandavi of Government Primary School, Ghoghre, was suspended for irregular attendance, consuming alcohol during duty hours, repeated misconduct despite prior suspension, and persistent negligence.
Head Teacher Shankar Lal Salame of Government Primary School, Totlabharri, was suspended for unauthorized absence, failure to maintain school registers, poor upkeep of the institution, unsatisfactory academic performance of students, consuming alcohol during duty, ignoring warnings, and failing to respond to a show-cause notice.
The District Education Officer emphasized that disciplinary measures will continue against staff who fail to uphold professional conduct and academic responsibility.
