Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha MP Santosh Pandey participated in the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce meeting in New Delhi, where members discussed key issues related to economic growth, trade expansion, industrial development, exports, MSME promotion, and employment generation. The meeting focused on strengthening India’s economic framework and advancing the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat amid evolving global trade challenges.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Chhattisgarh is emerging as a model of balanced growth where industrial progress and labour welfare move together. The coordinated efforts of the Industries and Labour Department have strengthened economic empowerment, social security, and investment growth across the state.

Effective implementation of PMEGP and PMFME schemes in Rajnandgaon has boosted self-employment and industrial growth, with 57 new industries established over two years, generating jobs for 720 people and attracting significant capital investment.

Collector Dr. S.N. Bhure chaired the District Investment Promotion Committee meeting in Rajnandgaon, directing speedy land acquisition for the proposed Space Manufacturing Cluster in Bizetla and timely completion of single-window processes. Officials were also asked to resolve pending industrial cases and implement key schemes to boost district-level industrial growth.

In a transformative move for industrial development, Rajnandgaon district is set to witness the establishment of two landmark projects—an Electronic Manufacturing Cluster (EMC 2.0) worth ₹350 crore in village Patewa, and Chhattisgarh’s first-ever Space Manufacturing Cluster (SMC) worth ₹25 crore in village Bijetla. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister and the State's Minister of Commerce & Industries for this visionary initiative aimed at boosting employment, innovation, and global competitiveness.
