The National Child Health Programme and Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Scheme have helped Rajnandgaon’s young Mayank regain the joy of hearing. After losing his hearing at around one-and-a-half years of age, he underwent a successful cochlear implant operation at AIIMS. Following the surgery, he is receiving speech and hearing therapy at a Regional Rehabilitation Centre.
