Final Rehearsal Held for Independence Day Celebrations in Rajnandgaon

Collector Jitendra Yadav Reviews Preparations; Zila Panchayat CEO Durga Prasad Adhikari Performs Role of Chief Guest

The final rehearsal for the district-level Independence Day celebrations was held at 9 am today at the Shaurya Parade Ground, Police Training School, Rajnandgaon.

Collector Jitendra Yadav conducted the final rehearsal and reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming Independence Day समारोह. Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Panchayat Durga Prasad Adhikari performed the role of the chief guest during the rehearsal and hoisted the national flag.

Following the flag hoisting, the guard of honour was presented. CSP Rajnandgaon Vaishali Jain was also present during the rehearsal.

Collector Reviews Arrangements at Ceremony Venue

Collector Jitendra Yadav inspected preparations for the district-level Independence Day समारोह and issued necessary directions to officials.

He sought information regarding seating and parking arrangements at the venue. He directed officials to ensure separate and appropriate seating arrangements not only for VIPs but also for public representatives, officers and employees, families of martyred personnel, journalists and the general public.

The Collector also directed officials to ensure proper decoration and cleanliness at the ceremony venue.

15 Platoons to Participate in Parade

During the rehearsal, the Independence Day parade was led by Parade Commander and Reserved Inspector, Rajnandgaon, Lokesh Kumar Kanwar.

Trainee Subedar Rajnandgaon Neha Man performed the responsibility of Parade Second-in-Command.

A total of 15 platoons are participating in the parade. These include GD ITBP Rajnandgaon, 8th Battalion Rajnandgaon, District Force Male, PTS Force Male, District Force Female, Nagar Sena Female, PTS Female Force, NCC Boys of Digvijay College, Naval Wing NCC Boys of Digvijay College, NCC Girls of Digvijay College, NCC Girls of Kamla College, NCC Boys of State High School, NCC Girls of State High School, NCC Boys Junior Naval of Dr Baldev Prasad Mishra School Basantpur, and Scout-Guide Girls of Maharani Lakshmi Bai School.

Students Present Patriotic Cultural Performances

During the rehearsal, students of PM Shri Sarveshwar Das Nagar Palika Nigam Higher Secondary School, Royal Kids Convent, Yugantar Public School, Sanskar City International School and Padumlal Punnalal Bakshi Girls Higher Secondary School presented cultural programmes to patriotic songs.

The rehearsal was attended by C.L. Markandey, Additional Collector; Prem Prakash Sharma, Additional Collector; Yashasvi Maurya, Trainee IFS; Kirtan Rathore, Additional Superintendent of Police; G.R. Markam, Municipal Corporation Commissioner; Gautam Patil, SDM Rajnandgaon, along with other district-level officials.
