Basantpur Police have arrested three absconding accused who assaulted a passerby after demanding money for alcohol near Gaurav Path. Acting swiftly under senior police supervision, the team conducted targeted raids and produced all three accused before the court.

The paddy procurement campaign in Mohla district has gained strong momentum, bringing visible joy among farmers as the government begins procurement at an MSP of ₹3,100 per quintal under the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26. With transparent arrangements, biometric verification, and strict monitoring against illegal trade, the district administration reports over 1.55 lakh quintals procured from more than 43,500 registered farmers so far.

राजनांदगांव जिले में भूमि रजिस्ट्री को लेकर नई गाइडलाइन लागू होने के बावजूद रजिस्ट्री की रफ्तार में कोई गिरावट दर्ज नहीं की गई है। जहां प्रदेश के कई जिलों से रजिस्ट्री कम होने की खबरें आ रही हैं, वहीं राजनांदगांव में स्थिति बिल्कुल सामान्य बनी हुई है। जिला पंजीयक सोनाली बोडे ने स्पष्ट किया कि रजिस्ट्री की संख्या पूर्ववत स्थिर है और “कमी आने” की चर्चाएं केवल अफवाहों तक सीमित हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि 8 साल बाद गाइडलाइन संशोधित होने से लोगों को दाम बढ़ने का आभास हुआ होगा, पर बाजार पर इसका वास्तविक असर नहीं दिख रहा है। डोंगरगढ़, छुरिया और डोंगरगांव उप-रजिस्ट्री कार्यालयों में भी बीते सप्ताह रजिस्ट्री की संख्या सामान्य रही। सूत्रों के अनुसार, बड़े जमीन कारोबारियों को अतिरिक्त वसूली में कमी के कारण ही रजिस्ट्री घटने की चर्चाएं फैलाई जा रही हैं। कुल मिलाकर, जिले में जमीन खरीद–फरोख्त की गतिविधियां और सरकारी कार्यालयों का कामकाज बिना किसी व्यवधान के जारी है।

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Election Commission of India over petitions challenging the legality of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of voter lists in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Puducherry. The Court has directed the High Courts in these states and Bihar to pause related hearings until further orders. Petitioners warn that the rushed exercise could lead to mass voter exclusion ahead of the 2026 elections, while the ECI defends the process as necessary for maintaining accurate electoral rolls. The matter will be heard in detail on November 26.
