As part of the ongoing Chhattisgarh Rajat Jayanti Year 2025-26 celebrations, Government Lal Shyam Shah College, Mohla, hosted a vibrant cultural event featuring students from various colleges and schools across the district. The program highlighted the state’s rich cultural traditions through patriotic songs, folk dances, essay writing, painting, and rangoli competitions that depicted Chhattisgarh’s journey of progress.

The event was attended by Collector Smt. Tulika Prajapati, CEO of Zila Panchayat Smt. Bharti Chandrakar, SDM Hemendra Bhuarya, professors, district-level officials, and a large number of students. During the program, participants also took an oath as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukti Abhiyan (De-addiction Campaign).
As a special attraction, members of women’s self-help groups set up stalls offering traditional Chhattisgarhi delicacies, while students who actively participated in the competitions were felicitated with certificates of appreciation.

Cyber Security Awareness Program
Alongside cultural activities, the Mohla event also hosted a special awareness session on cyber security organized by the police department. Students, faculty, and officials were educated on crucial aspects of online safety, prevention of digital frauds, and ways to protect personal data in today’s digital era. Experts also guided participants on potential risks linked to social media misuse, online scams, and practical preventive measures.

The two-day celebration thus combined cultural pride with social responsibility, spreading awareness about both Chhattisgarh’s heritage and modern-day challenges.
