Sports Build Confidence: Janpad Member Sahu Inaugurates School-Level Sports Meet at Karmatra

Enthusiastic participation from students and villagers as Karmatra Higher Secondary School kick-starts its annual sports competitions.

The annual school-level sports competition commenced today with great enthusiasm at Government Kisan Higher Secondary School, Karmatra. Janpad Member Mr. Tooman Lal Sahu inaugurated the event by signaling the start of the first match, amid loud cheers from students and villagers alike.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Mr. Sahu emphasized the importance of sports in a student’s life. “Sports not only keep the body healthy but also instill discipline, teamwork, and confidence in children,” he said. He encouraged the participants to perform their best and bring laurels at the block, district, and state levels.

School Principal Mr. Rajesh Sharma also highlighted the significance of sports, stating that physical education is an essential part of student life and plays a key role in overall personality development.

A variety of events — including kabaddi, relay race, 100m and 200m sprint, long jump, high jump, and cricket — are being organized as part of the sports meet. Participants who excel in the competitions will be awarded in the coming days.

The entire event was successfully coordinated with the active involvement of the teaching staff, including Smt. Sangeeta Tiwari, Smt. Archana Sahu, Smt. Kamleshvari Chandel, Smt. Neelam Singh, Ms. Divya Verma, Lokeshwari Devangan, Ramprasad Devangan, Nandkumar Patel, Rakesh Sahu, Suresh Kumar, Manish Sharma, Yogendra Singh Thakur, Teerthankumar Suryavani, Rahul Rawte, and the enthusiastic participation of the students.
