Robert Vadra Ignites Firestorm: Slams Bihar Poll Results as ‘Unfair’, Accuses EC of Aiding NDA Victory – Demands Immediate Re-Elections!

Priyanka Gandhi’s Husband Claims ‘People of Bihar Are Deeply Unhappy’, Vows Youth-Led Movement with Rahul Gandhi to ‘Save Democracy

In a blistering attack on the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA)’s sweeping victory in the recent Bihar Assembly elections, businessman and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband Robert Vadra on Sunday accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of “assisting” the NDA to secure its mandate, declaring the polls “not conducted properly” and demanding fresh elections across the state.

Speaking to reporters in Indore during a two-day religious visit to Madhya Pradesh, Vadra asserted that the people of Bihar are “deeply unhappy” with the results and warned that a re-poll would “completely flip” the outcome in favor of the opposition Mahagathbandhan. His remarks, which echo similar allegations from Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi and P. Chidambaram, have sparked a fierce political backlash, with the BJP dismissing them as “sour grapes” from a party reeling from its worst-ever performance in the state.

Vadra’s Explosive Charges: “EC Helped NDA – Re-Elections Will Change Everything”Vadra, who is not an elected politician but has occasionally waded into political discourse, pulled no punches while addressing the media. “The people of Bihar are actually not happy with this poll result. Whatever has happened, it has happened because of the Election Commission. The Election Commission has helped,” he said, without directly naming the NDA but clearly implying bias in favor of the ruling coalition.

He went on to claim widespread dissatisfaction, stating, “No one agrees with these results. These elections were not proper; there should be a re-election, and if that happens, the results will flip.”

Vadra further alleged that the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) skewed the verdict, adding, “If votes are cast through ballots, then the results will be completely different.”

In a nod to his brother-in-law Rahul Gandhi’s strategy, Vadra revealed plans for a youth mobilization drive: “Rahul Gandhi will meet people tomorrow. All the youth will join him, and they will launch a movement to protect democracy.”

He emphasized that Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi would “continue to fight” against “unfair” practices, framing the Bihar outcome as a symptom of a broader threat to the nation’s democratic fabric.

Vadra also took a swipe at the incoming NDA government, warning that it would “benefit only Adani and Ambani” unless there was accountability on election spending and governance.

BJP Fires Back: “Blame EC, EVMs – But Never the ‘Beta’!”The BJP wasted no time in countering Vadra’s outburst, with national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla leading the charge on social media. In a scathing post, he mocked: “After Chidambaram blamed Bihar Ki Janta, now Robert Vadra questions the mandate. Says ‘yeh dhang ka chunaav nahi tha – phir se honge to result paltega’.

95 elections lost by his relative Rahul Gandhi. Sadly, they still blame EC, EVM, Janta & SIR ka Data. But not the Beta.” Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, a key NDA ally from Bihar, sarcastically questioned Vadra’s locus standi: “Is Robert Vadra a politician?” – a jab at his non-political background and past controversies involving land deals.

BJP leaders accused the Congress of a “default strategy” of dodging accountability after repeated defeats, urging them to introspect rather than “bark on streets.”

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Vadra’s ally in the Mahagathbandhan, has so far remained muted but hinted at supporting a “democratic movement” if irregularities are proven.Broader Implications: A Test for Federalism and ECI Credibility?Vadra’s intervention – captured in viral videos shared by ANI and Times Now – has amplified the opposition’s narrative of “institutional bias,” drawing parallels to post-poll disputes in Maharashtra (2019) and Delhi (2020).

As the NDA prepares for Nitish Kumar’s record 10th swearing-in on November 20, demands for ECI probes and Supreme Court intervention are gaining traction among INDIA bloc leaders.

While Vadra’s call for re-elections seems unlikely – given the ECI’s track record of dismissing similar claims – it underscores the deepening polarization ahead of the 2029 Lok Sabha polls. As one BJP insider quipped, “Let them live in delusion… The people of Bihar have spoken, and they’re with development and PM Modi.”

For now, Bihar remains firmly in NDA hands. But Vadra’s words have lit a fuse – will it lead to a nationwide “save democracy” uprising, or fizzle out as another opposition whimper? The coming weeks will tell.
