Prominent Rajnandgaon Businessman Rajendra Chhajed Passes Away at 50
The city of Rajnandgaon was struck with grief on Tuesday following the sudden passing of Rajendra Chhajed, a respected and well-known cloth merchant. He was approximately 50 years old and succumbed to a heart attack in the afternoon.
Rajendra was the younger brother of Jabarchand Chhajed and was widely admired for his cheerful, friendly, and approachable nature. His unexpected demise has deeply saddened the entire Jain community and the broader business circle in the city.
Funeral and Last Rites
His funeral procession departed from his residence in Bherkapara at 5:15 PM and the last rites were conducted at 5:45 PM at the Lakholi-based Muktidham in Rajnandgaon.
The Chhajed family’s sudden loss has been felt deeply across the local community, with friends, relatives, and fellow traders expressing their heartfelt condolences.
