Under the directives of the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, and the Collector & District Election Officer, Rajnandgaon, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls 2026 is being conducted from 4 November to 4 December 2025. As part of this exercise, enumeration forms are being distributed, collected from voters, and digitized through the BLO App across all wards. Staff has been deployed to ensure smooth execution of the process.

During the programme, enumeration forms are being delivered to households, filled by voters, and collected back for verification. To ensure that every eligible voter’s name is included in the voter list without omission, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav has instructed continuous monitoring of the revision work.

Acting on these instructions, Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma held a meeting today with staff engaged in the revision process and conducted a ward-wise review.

Commissioner Vishwakarma assessed the progress and discussed the low rate of form returns after distribution. He directed staff to increase the pace of door-to-door follow-up, advising them to explain to residents the importance of timely form submission to avoid deletion of their names from the voter list. He also asked officials to seek assistance from ward councillors wherever necessary.

Emphasizing strict adherence to government guidelines, the Commissioner directed all officials to ensure that the electoral roll revision is completed within the stipulated timeframe without any negligence.
