Collector Jitendra Yadav reviewed the progress of government priority schemes and development works during the weekly time-limit meeting held at the Collectorate conference hall on Tuesday. He issued directions to ensure timely implementation of public welfare programmes, improve services for farmers and accelerate the resolution of pending applications.

The Collector instructed officials to complete all necessary preparations for the district-level State Foundation Day celebrations scheduled for November 2, 2026. He also directed departments to set up stalls during the event to inform citizens about public welfare schemes run by the Central and state governments.

Time-Bound Disposal of Public Grievances and Court Cases

Yadav reviewed applications received through Chief Minister’s Helpline 1076 and assessed their disposal status department-wise. He directed officials to ensure timely and quality resolution of complaints and conduct regular online monitoring of applications.

He also instructed department heads to review pending cases in the High Court on priority and submit responses within the prescribed deadlines. He warned against negligence in court-related matters.

The Collector reviewed pending cases registered through the weekly time-limit system, PGN, the PG Portal and Jan Darshan. He further directed officials to remove encroachments from government land immediately wherever identified.

Paddy Procurement to Begin at 122 Centres

Reviewing preparations for the upcoming paddy procurement season, the Collector directed officials to ensure adequate facilities for farmers at every procurement centre.

He said that 26 new procurement centres had been added in the district, taking the total number to 122 centres. The expansion is expected to make it more convenient for farmers to sell their produce.

To prevent illegal paddy transportation, Yadav instructed officials to conduct intensive inspections at all district check posts under CCTV surveillance from November 1.

He also ordered the establishment of check posts and continuous inspections to prevent illegal sand transportation, directing the concerned authorities to take strict action against violations.

Digital Crop Survey and Alternative Rabi Crops

Reviewing the progress of the Digital Crop Survey, the Collector directed officials to ensure that all surveyors engaged in the work receive their payments before the Diwali festival.

He also encouraged farmers to consider cultivating alternative Rabi crops requiring less water instead of paddy after the Kharif season.

In addition, Yadav instructed officials to expedite pending payments to contractors who had completed work under the Jal Jeevan Mission and take the necessary steps to clear outstanding dues.

Special Monitoring of High-Risk Pregnancies

During the review of healthcare services, the Collector directed the Health Department to ensure mandatory screening and close monitoring of high-risk pregnant women.

He instructed officials to arrange timely sonography, necessary medical examinations, treatment and medicines for these women. Regular contact through mobile phones and daily monitoring of their health status were also emphasised.

Reviewing the HPV vaccination campaign, Health Department officials reported that 8,499 adolescent girls had been vaccinated in the district so far.

The Collector directed the department to prepare a school-wise vaccination roster, accelerate the campaign and ensure that all eligible adolescent girls covered under the target receive the vaccine.

Pending PM Surya Ghar Applications to Be Cleared Quickly

Yadav expressed concern over delays by banks in processing applications under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He directed bank officials to prioritise pending applications and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits without unnecessary delay.

He stressed that delays at the banking level should not cause inconvenience to applicants. Banks and the concerned departments were instructed to coordinate closely and speed up the process so that more households could install solar panels under the scheme.

According to the figures shared during the meeting, the district had received 15,653 applications under the scheme, and 7,744 beneficiaries had received benefits so far. The Collector directed officials to take prompt action on the remaining applications and extend benefits to eligible households.

Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat Durga Prasad Adhikari, Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma and other district-level officers attended the meeting.
