Four Accused Arrested for Hunting Wild Boar in Kolarghat Range, Produced Before Court

A poaching case has been registered under the Wildlife (Protection) Act in Rajnandgaon Forest Division after a patrolling team apprehended four individuals accused of hunting a wild boar. The incident occurred in Compartment No. 419 of Kolarghat sub-range, North Bortalab forest area.
The accused have been identified as Jai Daniel (resident of Misiya Bada, Dongargarh), Neel Francis (Dongargarh), Vishala alias Ishan (Ward No. 9, Dongargarh), and Vishwanath God (Kolarghat). They were caught by the night patrol team during routine checks.

All four accused were presented before the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Dongargarh, and have been remanded for further investigation and legal action. The forest department has confirmed that strict proceedings are being carried out as per provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act.
