The ongoing paddy procurement drive under the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26 has created an atmosphere of happiness and enthusiasm among farmers in Rajnandgaon district. Under the state government’s support price policy and the Kisan Unnati Yojana, paddy is being procured at the rate of ₹3,100 per quintal, with a ceiling of 21 quintals per acre.
Under the guidance of Collector Mr. Jitendra Yadav, elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure smooth and transparent procurement operations. Facilities such as electronic weighing machines, drinking water, shade, biometric devices, labour support and other essential services have been provided at procurement centres. Paddy brought by farmers is being tested using moisture measuring devices to ensure quality standards.
