Over 4.81 million quintals of paddy procured from 91,735 farmers worth ₹1,142.02 crore in Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26

The ongoing paddy procurement campaign under the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26 has brought widespread happiness and enthusiasm among farmers in Rajnandgaon district. Under the state government’s Minimum Support Price (MSP) policy and the Krishak Unnati Yojana, paddy is being procured at a rate of ₹3,100 per quintal, with a purchase limit of up to 21 quintals per acre.
Under the guidance of Collector Shri Jitendra Yadav, comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the procurement process. All procurement centres are equipped with electronic weighing machines, biometric devices, drinking water facilities, shade, labour support and other essential amenities. Moisture meters are being used to test the quality of paddy brought by farmers.

The district has a total of 96 paddy procurement centres, where rate lists and informational flex banners have been prominently displayed. The Collector has directed officials to maintain continuous monitoring of procurement centres and to take strict action against illegal procurement by middlemen and brokers.
Farmers are availing the “Token Tumhar Hath” mobile application to obtain tokens for selling their produce, saving time and ensuring convenience. As of now, a total of 4,810,448.80 quintals of paddy worth ₹1,142 crore 02 lakh 46 thousand has been procured from 91,735 registered farmers in the district. The lifting of procured paddy is also progressing steadily, with 1,506,050.40 quintals already transported from procurement centres.
