Special workshop on POSH Act 2013 and child marriage prevention held in Mohla; Panchayats free of child marriage in past two years to be honored

Under the directions of Collector Mrs. Tulika Prajapati and the guidance of District Program Officer Mr. Chandrashekhar Mishra, the Department of Women and Child Development organized a special workshop on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) and child marriage prevention at the Collectorate meeting hall.

The workshop emphasized ensuring a safe working environment for women, enabling them to contribute with confidence and energy to their families and society. Collector Prajapati stressed that all departments must form Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs) and publicize their details. Officials were also briefed on the She-Box portal for online complaint registration.
Alongside, a comprehensive strategy to make the district child marriage-free was discussed. On October 2, 2025, all 185 gram panchayats and one nagar panchayat will pass resolutions declaring themselves free of child marriage. Panchayats that have reported no child marriages in the past two years will be honored with certificates.

The workshop saw the participation of Zila Panchayat CEO Mrs. Bharti Chandrakar, SDM Manpur Mr. Amit Nath Yogi, along with officers from various departments.
