Acting on the directions of Collector Jitendra Yadav, the district administration has intensified its ongoing drive against illegal plotting and encroachment on government land across Rajnandgaon. Under the guidance of SDM Rajnandgaon Gautam Patil, the administrative team identified unauthorised plotting and illegal construction of drainage and roads on government land. Using JCB machines, the team demolished illegally constructed drains and roads that were being used to develop an unauthorised colony.
Officials stated that illegal plotting was found on several private land parcels, including Khasra Nos. 213/112 (0.009 ha), 213/113 (0.030 ha), 213/114 (0.029 ha), 213/115 (0.047 ha), 213/116 (0.034 ha), 213/117 (0.0086 ha), 213/118 (0.0092 ha) and 213/119 (0.0256 ha). In addition, government land bearing Khasra Nos. 213/1/Kh/1 (0.127 ha) and 213/107 (0.142 ha) had been encroached upon by Morajdhwaj Devangan, where drains and roads were illegally constructed to develop a colony.
