In a remarkable display of collective devotion, Hanuman temples across Rajnandgaon are being adorned with brass maces, symbolic of Lord Hanuman’s strength and divinity. This city-wide religious movement, led by a committee of local devotees, has entered its second phase, aiming to ensure that no Hanuman idol in the city remains without a traditional gada.
The campaign has already seen installations in several temples, including those at Pyarelal Chowk, Station Road, Chikhli, Singerpur, Dilapahari, Motipur, Nawagaon, Industrial Area, Shaktinagar, and Patal Bhairavi. The committee has resolved that every Hanuman temple in Rajnandgaon, regardless of size or location, will be gifted a brass mace.
“In the first phase, we offered maces at seven temples. Now, our mission is to reach every corner of the city with this spiritual tribute,” said a committee spokesperson. “The mace, as Hanuman ji’s sacred weapon, is a symbol of strength, protection, and unwavering devotion. This campaign is our humble offering.”

Local priests and temple authorities have praised the initiative, calling it a meaningful act of faith. “This is not just an offering—it reflects the deep devotion and unity of the community,” said the priest of Pyarelal Chowk temple. “The temples will look even more divine, and the spirit of the devotees is visibly uplifted.”
The committee has affirmed that the initiative will continue until every Hanuman idol in Rajnandgaon is honored with a brass mace. The overwhelming enthusiasm among the devotees has turned this spiritual movement into what many consider a historic moment for Hanuman worship in the region.
