Mayor Madhusudan Yadav performs bhoomipujan for multiple urban projects under MLA, MP, and state government funds

A series of urban development projects worth over ₹80 lakh have commenced across three wards of Rajnandgaon. Mayor Madhusudan Yadav performed bhoomipujan at various project sites and announced that the works were approved under recommendations from MLA Dr. Raman Singh and MP Santosh Pandey, with financial support from the Department of Urban Administration and Development.

The development initiatives include projects sanctioned under infrastructure funds, environmental cess, and MP–MLA area development funds. In Ward No. 4 (Purana Dhaba), a WMM road worth ₹30 lakh, a cement road worth ₹5 lakh, a stage construction worth ₹2.5 lakh under the Minister’s Fund, and a ₹10 lakh building construction project at Naya Dhaba were inaugurated. In Ward No. 27, works worth ₹7 lakh for the renovation of the Ambedkar Bhawan, road and boundary wall construction near Kotwali Police Station (₹3 lakh each), and ₹15 lakh for cement road and drainage construction were launched. Similarly, in Ward No. 37, a cementation project worth ₹5 lakh near Ramdev Baba Temple has been initiated.
Mayor Yadav stated that written suggestions have been sought from all councilors to identify priority development works in their respective wards, which will be executed in a phased manner. He assured that, with continued cooperation from the MLA, MP, and government departments, all sanctioned works would soon be completed. “The ongoing bhoomipujan ceremonies reflect our commitment to transforming approved projects into reality, ensuring the city continues on its path of progress,” he said.

The bhoomipujan ceremonies were attended by several dignitaries, including former Vice Chairman of the Twenty-Point Programme Committee Mr. Khoobchand Parkh, Municipal Corporation Chairman Mr. Topendra Singh, former Leader of Opposition Mr. Kishun Yadu, Councilors Mr. Rajesh Jain Ranu, Mr. Shaky Bagga, Mr. Raja Makhija, Mr. Sandeep Baghel, Mrs. Jhamit Nadan Sen, and Mr. Satish Sahu, along with representatives from local social organizations and residents.
In Ward No. 37, the ceremony was attended by members of the Mayor-in-Council, former and current councilors, and community leaders including Mr. Hakeem Khan, Mr. Rajesh Yadav, and Mr. Pankaj Kuranjekar. Worship and rituals were performed before the foundation laying, marking the beginning of multiple civic infrastructure works.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Khoobchand Parkh commended the state government’s commitment to urban progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao. He said that on the recommendation of Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and MP Santosh Pandey, Rajnandgaon’s wards have witnessed extensive development within a short span. He praised Mayor Yadav’s proactive leadership, expressing confidence that the momentum of progress will continue across the city.
The event also saw participation from Assistant Engineers Ms. Ayushi Singh, Mrs. Pinky Khati, Mr. Anup Pandey, and enthusiastic residents of all three wards.
