Strict action under Jal Jeevan Mission, contractor blacklisted for one year

On the directions of District Collector and Chairman of the District Water and Sanitation Mission, Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, strict action has been taken under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The contract of M/s Shriram Construction and Suppliers, Dongargarh, responsible for work in Khaprikala village of Rajnandgaon block, has been terminated for failing to complete the assigned work.
According to the Superintendent Engineer and Executive Engineer, who also serves as Member Secretary of the District Water and Sanitation Mission, multiple reminders and official communications were sent to the contractor at the subdivision level to complete the work. However, the contractor showed no interest or response. Even after a final show-cause notice was issued, no reply was submitted. Consequently, the contract was canceled.

Along with this, the contractor’s security deposit and earnest money deposited during the tender process have been forfeited in favor of the government. Furthermore, the contractor has been barred from participating in any tender process within Rajnandgaon district for the next one year.
