Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure chaired a review meeting with officials of the Food Department, District Marketing Department, and Civil Supplies Corporation at the Collectorate conference hall on Saturday. The meeting focused on strengthening public distribution, ensuring farmers’ needs are met, and streamlining government schemes.

Dr. Bhure instructed the Civil Supplies Corporation to ensure timely storage of food grains at fair price shops so that ration cardholders face no delays. Stressing transparency, he directed the Food Officer to complete the Aadhaar e-KYC of all beneficiaries without delay. Currently, 86% of ration cardholders in the district have completed the process, while efforts are underway to cover the remaining households.

On the upcoming paddy procurement season, the Collector emphasized the collection of PDS gunny bags as per past practice. He also ordered verification of khasra (land records) in three phases through the PV App, assigning duties to officials at both block and district levels to complete the field verification on time.
