Focus on Health, Housing, Education, and Cleanliness in Tribal Villages Khobha, Job, and Pandrapani

District Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure undertook a comprehensive field inspection of the remote forested villages of Khobha, Job, and Pandrapani located at the far end of Chhuriya development block. The visit aimed to assess the on-ground implementation of government schemes and review infrastructure and service delivery in this tribal region.

At Khobha village, the Collector visited the Primary Health Centre and directed officials to ensure the posting of ANMs (Auxiliary Nurse Midwives) at Khobha, Chirchari Road, and Bhejratola. He emphasized the availability of essential medicines and the smooth functioning of healthcare services.
Dr. Bhure also inspected the under-construction housing colony under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin and interacted with beneficiaries. He was pleased to note that the installment payments and MGNREGA wages had been received by the beneficiaries and instructed that the houses be completed on time with quality workmanship.

In Job village, the Collector visited the Government High School, interacted with students, and evaluated the quality of education. He encouraged the students to study with dedication and inquired about facilities and teacher attendance. He instructed the school principal to undertake necessary repairs and maintenance at the school.
He also appreciated the Swachh Bharat Mission’s door-to-door waste collection initiative carried out by the local Swachhagrahi (cleanliness volunteers) group and directed them to begin collecting user charges for sustainability.
In Pandrapani village, Dr. Bhure held a public interaction with villagers to understand their needs and the progress of various schemes. He specifically reviewed the availability of fertilizers and seeds for local farmers. Villagers expressed satisfaction over the rationalized teacher postings that resolved previous staff shortages. The improved schooling situation has positively impacted education quality in the village.

He also took note of required repairs at the Anganwadi center and school, and instructed officials to initiate the work promptly. Dr. Bhure assured villagers that the administration is committed to ensuring all essential services reach every household in these remote areas.
The inspection team included SDM Shri Shrikant Koram, Janpad CEO Shri Hori Lal Sahu, SDO RES Shri G.P. Lariya, village sarpanches, elected representatives, departmental officers, and a large number of local residents.
