In an effort to strengthen the district’s economic condition and expand self-employment opportunities, Collector Tulika Prajapati chaired a review meeting with bank representatives and departmental officials at the District Office conference hall on Thursday. The meeting focused on accelerating loan approvals under government schemes, promoting skill development, and ensuring timely resolution of pending cases.
The Collector said that linking more eligible beneficiaries with self-employment schemes would help citizens become financially self-reliant. She instructed bank officials to dispose of loan applications within stipulated timelines and ensure that cases are not kept pending without valid reasons.
The meeting was attended by District Panchayat CEO Bharti Chandrakar, Additional Collectors G.R. Markam and Mithlesh Donde, along with officials from concerned departments.
A detailed review was conducted on loan distribution progress, pending cases, and banking outreach under schemes such as PM Vishwakarma Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, education loans, housing loans, Bihan, women self-help groups, agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, horticulture, Panchayat and Rural Development, Industries, and Khadi and Village Industries.

Collector Prajapati also reviewed bank-wise pending cases under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and directed bank officials to maintain continuous communication with applicants, provide necessary assistance, and ensure steady progress in implementation.
She further reviewed cases related to PMEGP, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, and Self-Help Groups (SHGs), stressing the need for pre-application loan awareness camps. These camps, she said, should educate citizens about eligibility criteria, documentation requirements, and key aspects of loan procedures to avoid delays and rejections.
The Collector directed departments and banks to jointly organise such camps to spread awareness about government schemes and help eligible beneficiaries access loans smoothly. Emphasising coordination, she said that effective inter-departmental and bank cooperation is essential to resolve issues promptly and achieve tangible progress in scheme implementation.
