Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurates water conservation program in Raipur, followed by public dialogues and inauguration of projects worth over ₹250 crore in Katghora and Baikunthpur

Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai kicked off a major statewide water conservation drive titled Sujalam Bharat 2025 in Raipur this morning, emphasizing sustainable water management to combat seasonal shortages and boost agricultural productivity.

The initiative aims to rejuvenate local water bodies, promote rainwater harvesting, and integrate community participation across rural districts. Following the launch, the Chief Minister embarked on a packed itinerary, traveling to Katghora in Korba district for a public address and the foundation laying of infrastructure projects including roads, irrigation canals, and community health centers valued at approximately ₹150 crore.
Later in the day, he headed to Baikunthpur in Korea district to inaugurate additional developments worth ₹100 crore, such as school upgrades and rural electrification schemes. Addressing enthusiastic crowds at both locations, Sai highlighted the state government’s commitment to inclusive growth, promising accelerated implementation of these projects to benefit tribal and farming communities.
