Travel Enthusiasts Flock to Explore Chhattisgarh’s Scenic Destinations; Over 200 Travel Agents Register to Promote the State’s Tourism Potential

Chhattisgarh Tourism Board emerged as the center of attraction on the first day of the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The stall, showcasing the cultural and natural richness of Chhattisgarh, captivated travel enthusiasts and industry professionals alike, marking a strong step towards boosting the state’s visibility on the global tourism map.

The event was inaugurated on July 31 by Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Shri Omar Abdullah, Gujarat Tourism Minister Shri Mulu Bera, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Chairman Shri Neelu Sharma, Gujarat Tourism Secretary Shri Rajendra Kumar, and Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Shri Vivek Acharya. The dignitaries jointly lit the ceremonial lamp, formally opening TTF Ahmedabad.
Post-inauguration, Shri Omar Abdullah and Shri Neelu Sharma visited all exhibition stalls, personally engaging with tourism representatives. At the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board’s stall, they were warmly welcomed and introduced to the state’s diverse tourism offerings. Chairman Neelu Sharma and MD Vivek Acharya presented a detailed overview of Chhattisgarh’s tourism circuits and offered specially curated booklets highlighting key attractions like Chitrakote Falls, Sirpur, Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary, and the tribal heartlands of Bastar and Dantewada.
Acting on the directives of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and under the visionary leadership of Chairman Shri Neelu Sharma, the tourism board is taking innovative steps to position Chhattisgarh as a must-visit destination. Their participation in TTF Ahmedabad reflects this renewed focus, with an aim to attract national and international travelers.

One of the major highlights of the event was the overwhelming response from travel agencies across India. Nearly 200 travel agents from various states registered with the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, showing keen interest in promoting its unique tourism circuits.
Visitors at the stall expressed excitement about lesser-explored tourist destinations in Chhattisgarh, praising its blend of heritage, spirituality, nature, and adventure. Many expressed plans to visit during the upcoming festive and winter seasons.
