The Agriculture Department has urged farmers in Rajnandgaon district to adopt Dhaincha (Sesbania) as green manure to improve soil fertility and reduce dependence on chemical fertilisers. Farmers using Dhaincha can save up to three bags of urea per hectare while also receiving a 50 percent subsidy on cultivation costs.

Rajnandgaon police have arrested four alleged troublemakers accused of creating fear in the Sabjiganj market area and assaulting passersby after demanding money for alcohol. Four juveniles involved in the incidents have also been placed in protective custody under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act.
