BJP Holds Booth-Level Review Meeting in Rajnandgaon; Mayor Madhusudan Yadav Calls for Urgent Completion of Voter Revision Forms

Party Leaders Urge Workers to Ensure No Eligible Voter Is Left Out During Special Summary Revision Campaign

The Bharatiya Janata Party has intensified its efforts to ensure the successful implementation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. In this context, an important meeting of presidents of all 123 urban booths, BLA-2 representatives, and corporators was held on Tuesday at the District BJP Office. Mayor Madhusudan Yadav and District BJP President Komal Singh Rajput guided party workers during the workshop.

The meeting began with Corporator Shanky Bagga demonstrating the process of submitting the SIR form through the online portal. Addressing the gathering, District President Komal Singh Rajput emphasized that the SIR campaign is a crucial part of the Election Commission’s continuous revision process. Citing the example of Bihar, he said transparency in the process significantly improved the accuracy of the voter list and subsequently increased voter turnout.

Rajput reminded workers that “the real battle of democracy is fought at the booth level,” urging them to ensure that every eligible voter is included while preventing the entry of any ineligible names. “Not a single eligible voter should be left out, and no ineligible name should be added,” he said.

Mayor Madhusudan Yadav expressed concern over the current status of form submissions. Out of the 1,34,000 voters across 123 booths, only 49,000 forms have been submitted so far. He informed that nearly 60% of forms from rural areas have been collected, but urban areas have reported only a 36% submission rate.
“This is worrying. All workers must mobilize immediately and ensure that forms from urban voters are submitted on time,” he said, warning that delayed submissions may result in names being removed from the voter list.

Yadav further added that voters whose names were not listed in the 2003 electoral roll should still submit their forms. Verification through supporting documents will be allowed until 8 January, but failing to submit forms now may deprive citizens of their voting rights. He stressed that booth-level workers carry a major responsibility in ensuring that no voter is left behind.

The Mayor also interacted individually with booth presidents, addressing their queries. The meeting was effectively conducted by Sawan Verma, while Shiv Verma also shared key guidance. A vote of thanks was proposed by General Secretaries Dravya Saurabh Kothari and Dikes Sahu.

Prominent attendees included Municipal Corporation Chairman Paras Verma, District Vice President Tarun Leharwani, President Sumit Bhatia, Golu Gupta, Mukesh Baghel, several corporators, and booth presidents of all 123 booths along with BLA-2 representatives.
