In a significant step towards the revival of Sanatan culture and Vedic ideology, the Arya Samaj, Rajnandgaon was formally constituted during a spiritually uplifting programme held at Jeevan Awas Colony, Aashanagar. The event was marked by Vedic recitations, havan-yajna, satsang, meditation and scholarly discourses, creating an atmosphere charged with devotion, reflection and cultural consciousness.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of eminent Vedic scholar Acharya Yogesh Bhardwaj, who delivered an insightful address on the scientific, spiritual and social relevance of Vedic traditions in contemporary life. Speaking to a large gathering of citizens, intellectuals and social workers, Acharya Bhardwaj emphasized that Sanatan culture and Vedic philosophy form the foundation of holistic human development and offer timeless solutions to modern social challenges.

Elaborating on the importance of havan-yajna, he explained its scientific benefits, including environmental purification and mental well-being, alongside its spiritual significance in fostering discipline, harmony and inner clarity. He noted that ancient Indian knowledge systems were deeply rooted in logic, observation and experiential wisdom, making them relevant even in today’s rapidly changing world.

Acharya Bhardwaj expressed concern over the gradual decline of the Gurukul tradition and the destruction or neglect of Aryan scriptures over centuries, which, he said, deprived society of authentic knowledge. “Today’s individual believes in God but seldom strives to truly understand the divine principles governing life,” he remarked, presenting this idea through simple, rational and practical examples that resonated strongly with the audience.

Highlighting the role of youth, he stated that ideological empowerment of young minds is the most pressing need of the time. According to him, a society rooted in values, discipline and self-awareness can only be built when the younger generation reconnects with its cultural and philosophical heritage.

The programme witnessed the presence of several prominent personalities, including Radheshyam Sharma (District Sangh Chalak), Hemant Tiwari (President, Bharat Swabhiman Nyas–Patanjali Yoga affiliated), Preeti Gupta, Rakesh Gupta, Ramkrishna Shukla (retired bank manager), Prashant, Praveen Shukla, Pandit Shreekesh Sharma, Purusharth Sharma, Shubhamay Mukherjee, Jinendra Gautam, Bhoj Tandon, Gayatri Devi, Urvashi, Lalita Tiwari, Prachi Gupta, Dr Gupta and many other distinguished citizens.

During the event, tributes were paid to Swami Brahmanand Ji on his martyrdom day. Speakers recalled that Swami Brahmanand Ji was assassinated on December 23 nearly a century ago and observed that despite the passage of time, several social and communal challenges continue to persist in the country. They collectively stressed that the revival of Vedic values and ethical living remains the most effective path towards long-term social harmony and national character-building.

At the conclusion of the programme, the formal announcement of the formation of Arya Samaj, Rajnandgaon was made under the guidance of Acharya Yogesh Bhardwaj. The announcement was welcomed with enthusiasm and optimism by the attendees, who described it as a landmark initiative aimed at expanding Vedic consciousness, promoting moral education and strengthening social unity in the region.

Organisers stated that the newly formed Arya Samaj will work actively in the fields of value-based education, social reform, youth engagement and the promotion of Vedic literature and practices. They expressed confidence that the initiative would play a constructive role in shaping a culturally rooted, socially aware and spiritually enlightened society in Rajnandgaon and surrounding areas.
