Collector Felicitates Society Managers for Outstanding Performance in Acreage Surrender During Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26

Three Paddy Procurement Centre Managers Honoured; Over 1 Lakh MT Paddy Purchased from 20,167 Farmers in Rajnandgaon District

In recognition of exceptional performance in acreage (rakka) surrender during the ongoing Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26, Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav felicitated three society managers at the Collectorate conference hall on Tuesday. The honour was conferred through certificates of appreciation.

The collector awarded Harnarayan Ramteke of the Kuhikala Paddy Procurement Centre, Ganpatram Sinha of Joshilmati Procurement Centre, and Basant Kumar Sahu of Gahirabhedi Procurement Centre for their dedication and efficiency in ensuring timely and accurate acreage surrender.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Yadav urged all remaining paddy procurement centre in-charges across the district to accelerate progress in acreage submission and maintain transparency throughout the procurement process. He emphasized that consistent monitoring and accurate data submission are vital to ensuring smooth paddy procurement operations.

Under the guidance of Collector Yadav, the district’s paddy purchase operations for the Kharif Marketing Year 2025-26 continue to make steady progress.

Procurement Status So Far

  • Total farmers who sold paddy: 20,167
  • Total paddy procured: 1,03,860 metric tonnes
  • Farmers who surrendered acreage: 4,236
  • Total acreage surrendered: 333.602 hectares

Officials noted that with the pace of procurement and acreage verification improving, the district is on track to meet its seasonal targets. The administration further reiterated its commitment to fair and efficient paddy procurement for all registered farmers.
