Chikhli Police Take Firm Action Against Disorderly Drunk Miscreant; Produced Before Court

Under the district-wide peace enforcement drive, Chikhli Police arrest a repeat offender creating public disorder while intoxicated and present him before the Rajnandgaon court.

As part of the ongoing campaign to maintain peace and law-and-order in the region, Chikhli Police have taken strict action against a miscreant who was creating public disorder under the influence of alcohol. The accused was arrested under preventive measures and subsequently produced before the court.

According to police information, the accused, in an intoxicated state, began quarrelling in his locality, shouting, “You complain against me to the police,” thereby creating a situation of public disturbance. Observing the strong possibility of a cognizable offence, the police promptly intervened and arrested the individual.

The accused has been identified as Sukhdev Sahu, 29, son of Late Tilakram Sahu, resident of Motipur Azad Chowk, Chunnilal Gali, under Outpost Chikhli, district Rajnandgaon. Separate action was initiated against him under Sections 170, 126, and 135(3) of the BNSS, and he was produced before the Hon’ble Court, Rajnandgaon.

This action was carried out under the direction of Superintendent of Police Ms. Ankita Sharma, the guidance of Additional SP Mr. Rahul Dev Sharma, and the supervision of City SP Mr. Pushpendra Nayak.

Police Warning:
Chikhli Police have stated that their ongoing drive against illegal sale of ganja and liquor, anti-social elements, criminals, and those consuming alcohol in public places will continue strictly in the coming days to uphold peace and order in the area.

Outpost In-charge Sub-Inspector Kailash Chandra Marai, Head Constable Arun Kumar Netam, Women Head Constable Vandana Patle, Constables Sunil Bairagi, Gopal Paikara, Aditya Solanki, and the entire Chikhli outpost staff played an important and commendable role in this operation.
