As part of the ongoing preparations for the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26, Secretary Avinash Champawat conducted a comprehensive inspection of paddy procurement centers across Rajnandgaon district. The visit covered centers located in Bherregaon, Singhola, Dhaba, Gathula, Padumtala, Dumardihkala, Rengakathera, Sukuldaihan, Bhanpuri, Musarkala, and Belgaon.

During his inspection, Champawat interacted with farmers to assess the facilities being provided at the procurement centers. He reviewed the quality of paddy arriving at the centers, examined moisture levels using moisture meters, and observed the weighing process carried out through electronic weighing machines.
Farmers informed him that the procurement process was running smoothly without any inconvenience. They confirmed that all necessary arrangements had been made at the centers. The Secretary also reviewed the use of online token systems, weighing procedures, and the involvement of intermediaries. Farmers shared that, following a good monsoon, paddy production is expected to be higher this season, and the inflow of paddy into procurement centers will increase accordingly.
