Local Artists and School Students Captivate Audience; Quiz Winners Felicitated with Saplings

The second day of the district-level Rajyotsav celebrations, organized at the Mini Stadium in Mohla to mark the Silver Jubilee of Chhattisgarh’s statehood, was filled with vibrant cultural performances and festive spirit. Students from various schools, local artists, and cultural groups presented colorful programs reflecting the rich folk heritage of Chhattisgarh.
Students of Lal Shyam Shah English Medium School, Mohla, performed thematic presentations showcasing the state’s development and cultural pride. Students of Middle School Gotatola delivered an energetic dance performance, while the cultural team of Lal Chakradhar Shah College, Ambagarh Chowki, presented traditional folk dance highlighting local traditions.

The performance by students of Eklavya School, Mohla, beautifully blended tradition with modernity. The Ammar Jyoti Nacha Party, Kulhardoh, moved the audience emotionally with the soulful cultural presentation “Chhattisgarh La Kahithe Bhaiya Dhaan Ke Katora”, depicting the lives of farmers, the essence of the land, and the spirit of Chhattisgarh. Performances by Jeevan Jyoti Chhattisgarhi Nacha Party (Jirratola) added humor and entertainment through traditional Nacha-Gammat art.
Presentations from Naveen Lal Shyam Shah College Mohla, DNT Public School Mohla, Saraswati Shishu Mandir Mohla, and folk artist Triveni Juresia (Jirratola) also remained major attractions of the evening.

A quiz competition was organized for the general public, featuring questions related to Chhattisgarh’s history, culture, and identity. Winners were honored by gifting saplings, spreading the message of environmental conservation.
Collector Smt. Tulika Prajapati, Additional Collector Shri G.R. Markam, SDM Mohla Shri Hemendra Bhuarya, SDM Manpur Shri Amit Nath Yogi, representatives of various departments, public representatives, and a large number of citizens were present during the event.
Voter Awareness During Rajyotsav:
During the program, Electoral Registration Officer and SDM Mohla Shri Hemendra Bhuarya informed citizens about the Voter List Intensive Revision Programme. He explained that BLOs will distribute designated forms door-to-door, enabling eligible citizens to update, correct, or add their names in the voter list. An informational video was displayed through LED screens to create awareness, along with an appeal for public cooperation in the revision process.
