Mayor Shri Madhusudan Yadav has extended heartfelt Diwali greetings to the citizens, celebrating the festival of lights deeply rooted in Indian culture. In his message, he wished for prosperity, health, success, peace, and affection in everyone’s lives, emphasizing that festivals like Diwali instill values that inspire humanity to pursue righteousness. Worshipping Goddess Lakshmi during this festival, he noted, brings wealth, prosperity, peace, and happiness.
Mayor Yadav called on citizens to celebrate Diwali, a festival that inspires progress toward enlightenment, with enthusiasm, unity, and brotherhood. He urged the public to prioritize cleanliness, not only within their homes but also in their surroundings, fostering a healthier environment. Highlighting the importance of supporting local economies, he appealed to citizens to use traditional decorative items and handmade products to promote local artisans and businesses. This initiative, he said, ensures that those engaged in traditional trades can also celebrate Diwali joyfully.

The public has responded enthusiastically to the Mayor’s call, finding his message meaningful and impactful. Citizens have shown a positive reaction, increasingly prioritizing swadeshi (indigenous) products, which is evident in their purchasing choices. This shift is fostering a sense of cultural pride and economic self-reliance. Observers note that this trend could have broader implications, especially in light of international trade dynamics. With tariffs and other global trade factors affecting India, promoting local products could strengthen the country’s import-export balance in the future. By boosting the domestic economy, this campaign is seen as a vital step toward maintaining India’s economic stability and self-sufficiency on the global stage.
