District Collector Mr. Jitendra Yadav conducted an on-site inspection of sanitation arrangements in Ward No. 18 (Mamta Nagar) and Ward No. 2 (Nawagaon) under the Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation on Saturday.
During the visit, the Collector instructed civic officials to ensure regular cleaning of drains in Mamta Nagar and directed immediate removal of garbage dumped at one location. He also interacted with local residents to review the cleanliness situation and encouraged them to segregate wet and dry waste for collection by sanitation workers during door-to-door waste management drives.

While inspecting Ward No. 2 (Nawagaon), the Collector expressed dissatisfaction over the drain cleaning arrangements, directing the sanitation team to begin cleaning work on the spot. He further instructed that drains should be cleaned at least once or twice every week to maintain hygiene and prevent water stagnation.
Within two hours of his inspection, the cleaning work at Mamta Nagar’s Mukkad Point was completed as per his instructions.
