In a decisive call for grassroots governance, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure chaired the weekly time-limit meeting at the Collectorate today, directing officials to ensure effective delivery of welfare schemes to the public.

The Collector highlighted that as part of Chhattisgarh’s Silver Jubilee celebrations and the nationwide “Seva Pakhwada” from September 17 to October 2, multiple activities will be organized across the district. Under the Aadi Karmyogi Abhiyan, 105 villages have been identified to ensure that tribal communities receive maximum benefits from government schemes.

Dr. Bhure instructed officials to work actively on sanitation under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, alongside preparing for a free health camp at Government Medical College, Rajnandgaon, on September 17. The event will also host the Healthy Women, Empowered Families program. All doctors, nurses, and medical staff have been directed to be on duty during the health initiatives.

Addressing upcoming festivities, the Collector ordered deployment of health staff at all service pandals during the Navratri period. He further emphasized adequate lighting along the pilgrimage routes to Dongargarh, ensuring clean water, sanitation, and parking facilities at the fairgrounds.

He also urged promotion of the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, encouraging rooftop solar installations to cut electricity bills, and reviewed progress on smart meter installation.

The Collector also reviewed the status of the Swamitva Yojana land record distribution, Anganwadi center repairs, land allocation cases, housing schemes, skill development programs, and e-file implementation.

District Panchayat CEO Ms. Suruchi Singh stressed maximizing beneficiary outreach during Seva Pakhwada, while discussions also focused on Palak Chaupal, sanitation drives, and monitoring through the Atal portal. Senior officials including DFO Ayush Jain, Additional Collectors C.L. Markandey and Prem Prakash Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, and SDMs of Rajnandgaon, Dongargarh, and Dongargaon were present.
