In a compassionate outreach following the tragic Bajrangpur-Navagaon violence, Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh visited the affected families and assured them of government support.

Calling the incident “deeply unfortunate,” Dr. Singh noted that Rajnandgaon has long been recognized as a city of peace and harmony. He expressed grief over the deaths of three young men – Rajesh Dheemar, Sachin Das Manikpuri, and Kishan Rajput – who were killed in separate stabbing incidents allegedly linked to substance abuse.

Dr. Singh criticized the local police response, stating that stronger immediate action after the initial report could have prevented the escalation. As part of relief measures, Dr. Singh announced ₹1 lakh financial assistance under the voluntary grant scheme for each of the victims’ families. He further declared a compassionate government appointment for Kishan Rajput’s family and directed officials to secure a job placement for the widow of Rajesh Dheemar.
