With the dedicated efforts of former Chief Minister and current Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, the Finance Department has granted administrative approval for the strengthening (surface improvement) of four rural roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in Rajnandgaon district.

The approved routes include:

  1. Patewa to Pendi (Khairagarh Block) – 9.80 km
  2. Murmunda to Uraidabri – 8.60 km
  3. Patewa to Bijetla – 10.10 km
  4. Chaitukhpari Bilhari Khudmudi to Rengakathera

These roads had remained in a dilapidated condition for the last five years, causing inconvenience to commuters and residents. Responding to long-standing public demand, Dr. Raman Singh consistently pursued the matter, leading to the long-awaited approval.

The strengthening of these rural roads is expected to ease transportation in the interior regions and give fresh momentum to local development.
