In a remarkable blend of devotion and creativity, a towering Ganesh idol in Chennai’s Mannali area has become the talk of the town this Ganesh Chaturthi. Crafted using an astounding 7,500 sacred books, including 5,000 copies of the Bhagavad Gita, 1,500 Vel Virutham texts, and 1,008 Murugan Kavasam books, this unique idol is drawing devotees and art enthusiasts alike.

The innovative creation, a first-of-its-kind in the region, showcases the deep spiritual and cultural ethos of Tamil Nadu. Artisans and devotees collaborated to meticulously arrange the books to form the majestic idol of Lord Ganesha, symbolizing wisdom, prosperity, and devotion. The use of revered texts like the Bhagavad Gita and Murugan Kavasam adds a profound spiritual significance to the installation, making it a focal point for worshippers during the festival.
