New Prayas Residential School to Begin This Year at Newly Built Education Hub in Rajnandgaon

With Speaker Dr. Raman Singh’s Initiative, ₹43.90 Lakh Sanctioned for 500-Seater Facility; Collector Inspects Campus and Directs Early Completion of Works

The newly constructed Education Hub campus in Rajnandgaon will soon house a Prayas Residential School, set to begin operations from this academic session. A total of ₹43.90 lakh has been sanctioned for the establishment of this 500-seater school under the Mukhyamantri Bal Bhavishya Suraksha Yojana, following special efforts by Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh.

Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure inspected the premises today, reviewing ongoing preparations for the school’s commencement. He directed officials to complete remaining works in the academic campus at the earliest, including railings, painting, putty work, interlocking, aluminum sections, and door fittings. He also instructed the preparation of an estimate for boundary wall construction near the girls’ hostel, along with arrangements for classrooms, laboratories, principal’s office, and computer facilities.

Dr. Bhure emphasized that the timely completion of the school will ensure smooth educational opportunities for local students.

The state government has also approved the creation of key posts for the school’s administration, including 2 Administrative Officers, 4 Hostel Superintendents, 2 Receptionist-cum-Computer Operators, and 2 Storekeeper-cum-Accountants.

Present during the inspection were Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, Assistant Commissioner of the Tribal Development Department Ms. Deeksha Gupta, and other officials.

The upcoming residential school is expected to become a major educational asset for the district, providing quality academic support and residential facilities to underprivileged and deserving students.
