A fire broke out suddenly at around 5 pm on Saturday at Ramdev Cotton Factory in the Kothar Para area of Nandai, triggering panic among nearby residents. Since the factory uses cotton and raw cotton for manufacturing mattresses and pillows, there were concerns that the flames could spread rapidly due to the presence of highly flammable material.

Local Residents Take Immediate Action

According to information, soon after the fire broke out, local residents began efforts to extinguish it. Ward Councillor Arun Sahu, along with other residents, took the lead in tackling the situation and preventing the flames from spreading.

The factory is reportedly operated by Mahendra Surana. After receiving information about the incident, a fire brigade vehicle also reached the spot. The fire was subsequently brought completely under control.

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
